That picture was taken at BFF's shower last Saturday. If you can believe it, she's 2 months more preggo than I am. You certainly can't tell from that picture. I look like a freakin' Mack truck! Aside from showing, I think I am starting to feel some of Next Friday's movements. It almost felt like someone dragging their index finger along the inside of my belly a few times over the weekend. I keep being told it will feel like a flutter but I have no idea what a flutter feels like... to me it is more like a slight cramp? Like how you feel before you either have to go to the bathroom or vomit. Pregnancy is so pretty.
Can I just tell you how sexy my dreams have become? Holy cow! The books said it would happen because you feel kind of unattractive on the outside and so your subconscious makes up for it, I just didn't know I'd be dreaming in porn. Also, the dumbest things make me cry. Like I cried about 5 times during The Princess & The Frog. And we were watching America's Funniest Videos and there was a kid that was crying because his mom was mad that he cut his sister's hair? I was so sad for that little boy because he was so sad that I cried! What the hell is wrong with me?
Other than that, not much is different. Bending over is becoming a little problematic. I definitely feel out of shape because we took a couple walks this weekend and I felt almost winded. My pulse gets out of hand too. Not sure what any of that means but I'll discuss it with the good doctor on Thursday morning for my checkup. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of 4/2 so I can see the if Next Friday is a boy or a girl!
Here's what babycenter.com says about 18 weeks:
Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound (and to that I say it better not hide anything!).
